The Yarn Barn Knitters - This group meets every Wednesday 4-6 pm in the shop.  Come along with your knitting and have a good old yarn with like-minded people.  If you'd like to know more phone 023 9275 2555 Pauleen or Caron will be delighted to help you.

Gunwharf Knitters - Meet at The Aspex Gallery between 11 am - 12.30 pm, every third Wednesday of the month. Contact Caron or Pauleen for more details 023 9275 2555.

Knitting Workshops

Fiona Morris has been teaching hand and machine knitting for many years as well as designing knitwear.  She is a regular contributor in the national knitting magazines.

Debbie Abrahams is a Rowan Consultant and has a number of books to her name, the latest being 25 Beaded Knits and Design your own Knits.

Tracy Chapman is a Mobile Rowan Consultant and her books Toys to Knit and Knitting with Ribbon Yarn have been very well received.

Caron Johnson taught Fashion & Design for 15 years and is currently devoting her time to design.

Tracy Elliott has spent time studying colour and advising people on colour and image.

## 16th January - Design Know How

Tracy Chapman - This workshop is being run for those of you who would like to make your own soft furnishing items or other such house hold items. You will learn basic principles of how to calculate for your design. Cost £50.00

30th January - Weaving

Tracy Chapman - Will take you basic weaving using card and also demonstrate weaving using hand loom. This is very exciting and can also be great to use soe of your own stash. Cost £50.00

6th February - Toys to Knit

Tracy Chapman - Based on Tracy’s book "Toys to Knit" you will go away at the end of the day with something you have knitted from the book and will have heard some of the inspiration behind the book. Cost £50.00

## 27th February - Knitting for Beginners & Returns

Tracy Chapman - Tracy will take you from casting on through Knit and purl to cast off. At the end of the day you feel comfortable with basic knitting Processes. Cost £50.00

###12 June – Explore Texture in Knitting - Tracy Chapman.  

Look at ways of creating texture in your knitted piece by using stitches – the variety is unlimited and adds another dimension to your work     Cost £50.00

###17 July – Edgings - Tracy Chapman. 

Would you like to get away from a ribbed edge?  Would you like to create a decorative edge to a bag?  Come along and you will not be disappointed.     Cost £50.00

###18 September – Knitting for Beginners & Returners - Tracy Chapman. 

Tracy will take you from casting on through knit and purl to cast off.  At the end of the day you feel comfortable with basic knitting processes.   Cost £50.00

###2 October – Learn to Crochet - Tracy Chapman. 

Tracy will take you through the basics of crochet, at the end of the day you will be able to crochet in the round, and row by row.     Cost £50.00
